Location of Krakow have big impact on the weather. From one side Krakow is located in valley, and from other side from south Krakow is shielded by Tatra mountains. Which give snow and cold in winter. Below we will present weather in Krakow in each month. This will give you some view if you will be ready for travel on this months. But be aware each year is now slightly different.

As we mention Krakow thanks to his location, Vistula river, and  mountains near have specific weather. In Krakow you can experience fully all 4 seasons. Weather in Krakow can be really hot in summer and really cold in winter.

Before travelling we advice to prepare own luggage according to season. Poland and Krakow by many foreigners is perceived as cold place in Europe.

Its partially truth because winter can be cold, but from other hand summer could be really hot. Coming here can be tricky before doing own research.

Average January temperature is 2.3 °C(36.1 F). But lowest for this month was −26.1 °C(−15.0 F)   , and highest was 17.3 °C(63.1 F).

Its one of coldest months in Krakow, because of Arctic air from Eastern Europe with strong snow fall.

FEBRUARY

Average February temperature is 4.4 °C (39.9 F). But lowest for this month was −26.8 °C (−16.2 F)   , and highest was 21.0 °C (69.8 F).

MARCH – beginning of spring

Average March temperature is 9.1 °C(48.4 F). But lowest for this month was −23.2 °C (−9.8 F)  , and highest was 24.7 °C (76.5 F).

APRIL

Average April temperature is 15.8 °C (60.4 F). But lowest for this month was −4.6 °C (23.7 F)  , and highest was 31.2 °C (88.2 F).

MAY

Average May temperature is 20.6 °C (69.1 F). But lowest for this month was  −1.8 °C (28.8 F), and highest was 33.7 °C (92.7 F).

JUNE – first days of summer

Average June temperature is 24.0 °C (75.2 F). But lowest for this month was  2.3 °C (36.1 F) , and highest was 35.3 °C (95.5 F).

JULY

AUGUST – hottest month

Average August temperature is 25.7 °C (78.3 F). But lowest for this month was  4.5 °C (40.1 F) , and highest was 38.3 °C (100.9 F).

August is considered by citizens as most hottest month, some days are to difficult to survive outside work or walking.

From other side August can be full of strong thunderstorms with have rain.

SEPTEMBER

Average September temperature is 20.1 °C (68.2 F). But lowest for this month was −2.6 °C (27.3 F)  , and highest was 35.8 °C (96.4 F).

OCTOBER

Average October temperature is 14.6 °C (58.3 F). But lowest for this month was  −5.7 °C (21.7 F) , and highest was 27.9 °C (82.2 F). Daylight hours constantly and rapidly decrease throughout this month. And days started to be shorter.

Average November temperature is 8.1 °C (46.6 F). But lowest for this month was  −16.1 °C (3.0 F) , and highest was 24.0 °C (75.2 F).

Average December temperature is 3.2 °C (37.8 F). But lowest for this month was  −25.7 °C (−14.3 F) , and highest was 19.9 °C (67.8 F). Usually it started to snow in Krakow on beginning of month or just before Christmas.

This month is beginning of winter in city. December have least daylight days, so mostly its quite dark here if there is no snow. Snow brings light and atmosphere to city.
