May and June should be a very good time to look for White Storks, as they will normally be nesting and raising their young.

One of the best places relatively close to Krakow is the countryside around Wola Batorska and neighbouring Wola Zabierzowska, in the Niepołomice area, approximately 30 km east of Krakow. Wola Batorska is sometimes known locally as a “stork village”, while Wola Zabierzowska lies along the educational Stork Nests Trail, where several nests can be found.

The area is easiest to explore by car, particularly the rural roads, meadows and villages around the edge of Niepołomice Forest. As occupied nests can change from one season to another, we also recommend checking recent local sightings shortly before your visit.

Taki transfer zapewnia więcej komfortu, bezpośredni odbiór z lotniska i szybszy dojazd bez przystanków, co jest dużym plusem przy większej liczbie osób, dzieciach czy dużej ilości bagażu.

Shuttle bus to opcja bardziej budżetowa, ale często wymaga czekania na innych pasażerów i zatrzymuje się w różnych punktach miasta, co może wydłużyć czas przejazdu.

Warto też wiedzieć, że dobrą alternatywą z lotniska do centrum Krakowa jest pociąg – kursuje regularnie, dojazd trwa około 20 minut i stacja końcowa to Dworzec Główny (blisko Starego Miasta). To wygodna opcja, jeśli Wasze zakwaterowanie znajduje się w centrum.

Yes, you’re allowed to bring food with you as long as you don’t eat it inside the museum or memorial areas. There are designated spots outside where you can take a break and eat if needed.

As for the bag size, the official Auschwitz Museum website states that the maximum allowed dimensions are 35 x 25 x 15 cm. Anything larger must be left on your bus, in your car, or at the luggage storage area near the entrance.

If i take food with me to Auschwitz Birkenau can I carry it with me throughout the tour as long as I do not eat any of it in the museum / memorial areas.
Also can you confirm the max bag size allowable I have seen 2 different sizes quoted on different websites

& 350mm x 250mm x 150mm

We’ve just checked the current availability, and unfortunately, for the dates you mentioned (next Thursday or Friday), it seems that it is not possible to reserve a visit without a guide — all free-entry spots appear to be fully booked.

In this case, your best option is to either:

1. Book a guided tour, or
